Search MCRO for Aitkin Court Records
Minnesota Court Records Online, usually called MCRO, is the main remote portal for Aitkin County court records. Document Search is narrower than Case Search because it depends on a case number and only returns public documents available remotely.
Types of Aitkin Court Records

- Juvenile records are restricted in many settings and may require party status, attorney status, or court authorization.

What Aitkin Court Records Show
Aitkin case numbers use the Minnesota county prefix for Aitkin, which is 01. The prefix is followed by a case-type code, year, and sequence number. Examples from official calendar research include 01-CR-26-382, 01-CV-26-435, 01-VB-25-186, and 01-FA-25-621. Aitkin Certified Court Copies
Remote MCRO records are not certified. A party, employer, licensing agency, bank, or another court may require a certified copy from Court Administration instead of a screen print. Research lists the statewide Minnesota District Court fee for a certified copy of a civil or criminal court instrument as $14. Case-management reports cost $5 for 1 to 50 pages and $25 per 50 pages or part for longer reports.

Aitkin Court Records Access Rules

Aitkin Court Records Remote Limits
MCRO gives limited remote case-record information. It can display case results, hearing results, monetary judgment results, Register of Actions entries, judgment details, and public documents that are available online. It does not display all public records that may be available at courthouse terminals. MCRO also warns that users are not notified when data is unavailable because of case type, rule limits, or search restrictions.
Pending criminal, traffic, and petty misdemeanor cases with no conviction do not return in defendant-name searches. Those cases can return by case number. Domestic abuse/order-for-protection and harassment-restraining-order case types are not displayed online because of federal VAWA restrictions. CHIPS, Juvenile Delinquency Felony 16, and public documents in civil commitment case types are not available in MCRO.

Restricted Aitkin Court Records
Restricted court records include juvenile matters, sealed and expunged records, adoption records, some mental health and civil commitment material, personal identifiers, protected addresses, and sensitive family or domestic abuse records. MCRO also suppresses party street addresses and general comment fields. Criminal sentencing condition comments can display, but general comment fields do not.
